BIBLE STUDY WEEK 73

TRUE REDEMPTION MINISTRIES

“God Will Make a Way”

Introduction

There are seasons in life when the road ahead seems blocked, unclear, or completely nonexistent. Situations arise where human wisdom fails, resources run dry, and hope feels distant. Yet throughout Scripture, God reveals Himself as the Way Maker—the One who creates paths where none exist, provides in barren places, and brings life out of impossibility.

This study explores the promise that God not only leads the way—He creates the way.

I. The Promise of a New Thing

Key Scripture

Isaiah 43:19 (KJV)

“Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it?

I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.”

A. God Is Always Moving

God declares, “Behold, I will do a new thing.”

This is not just a future promise—it is a present reality.

• God is not limited to what He has done before

• He is not confined by past methods or past miracles

• He specializes in new beginnings and fresh moves

Key Insight:

What God is about to do in your life may not look like anything He has done before.

B. “It Shall Spring Forth” — Sudden Manifestation

The phrase “spring forth” suggests something that bursts forth suddenly, like water from dry ground.

• What looked dead can suddenly live again

• What seemed delayed can suddenly accelerate

• What felt impossible can suddenly open

Ecclesiastes 3:1 (KJV)

“To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.”

C. Spiritual Awareness Matters

“Shall ye not know it?”

God is asking:

Will you recognize what I’m doing?

• Sometimes we miss God because we are focused on the past

• Sometimes we overlook Him because we expect Him to move the same way again

Key Lesson:

Discernment is required to perceive God’s new move.

II. God Makes a Way Where There Is None

Supporting Scripture

Isaiah 43:16 (KJV)

“Thus saith the LORD, which maketh a way in the sea, and a path in the mighty waters.”

A. The God of the Impossible

This refers to the Red Sea miracle:

• No bridge

• No boat

• No escape

Yet God created a path through water.

Exodus 14:21–22 (KJV)

God didn’t remove the obstacle—He made a way through it.

B. Wilderness and Desert Symbolism

In Scripture:

• Wilderness = confusion, testing, uncertainty

• Desert = dryness, lack, exhaustion

Yet God says:

• “I will make a way in the wilderness” (direction)

• “Rivers in the desert” (provision)

Key Insight:

God doesn’t just bring you out—He sustains you while you’re in it.

C. God Creates, Not Just Clears

Sometimes we pray for God to remove the situation…

But God often chooses to:

• Create strength in you

• Create provision around you

• Create a path through what you’re facing

III. Trusting God Over Understanding

Key Scripture

Proverbs 3:5–6 (KJV)

“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”

A. Trust Beyond Logic

God’s ways often don’t make sense to the natural mind.

• He may lead you in a direction you didn’t expect

• He may delay what you thought was urgent

• He may open doors you didn’t consider

Isaiah 55:8–9 (KJV)

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts…”

B. Total Surrender

“In all thy ways acknowledge Him…”

This means:

• Every decision

• Every plan

• Every step

God is not just a consultant—He is the Director.

C. The Promise: Straight Paths

“He shall direct thy paths.”

• Crooked situations become straight

• Confusion becomes clarity

• Closed doors lead to divine openings

IV. How God Makes a Way

1. Through Divine Intervention

God steps into situations beyond human control.

Example: Red Sea (Exodus 14)

2. Through Unexpected Provision

God supplies what you didn’t see coming.

Example: Manna in the wilderness (Exodus 16)

3. Through Changed Circumstances

God can shift environments, people, and timing.

4. Through Inner Transformation

Sometimes the “way” God makes is:

• Strength

• Wisdom

• Endurance

V. When You Can’t See the Way

Key Truths to Hold Onto

• God is working even when unseen

• Delay is not denial

• Silence is not absence

• Difficulty is not defeat

Romans 8:28 (KJV)

“And we know that all things work together for good…”

VI. Application for Believers Today

1. Stop Looking Only at the Obstacle

Focus on the God who creates paths, not the problem blocking you.

2. Expect Something New

Do not limit God to what He has already done.

3. Walk by Faith, Not Sight

Even when you don’t see the way—walk anyway.

2 Corinthians 5:7 (KJV)

“For we walk by faith, not by sight.”

4. Stay Obedient in the Wilderness

Your breakthrough is often connected to your obedience.

VII. Reflection Questions

1. Where in your life do you feel “stuck” or without direction?

2. Are you trusting God fully or leaning on your own understanding?

3. Can you identify a time when God made a way for you before?

4. Are you open to God doing something new—even if it looks unfamiliar?

Closing Encouragement

God is not intimidated by your situation.

• What looks impossible to you is an opportunity for Him

• What feels like a dead end is a setup for divine intervention

• What appears dry and empty can suddenly overflow

God is still making ways.

God is still opening doors.

God is still bringing rivers to deserts.

Closing Scripture Declaration

Isaiah 43:19 (KJV)

“Behold, I will do a new thing…”

Final Prayer

Father,

We thank You that You are the God who makes a way where there is none.

Help us to trust You even when we cannot see.

Open our eyes to perceive what You are doing in this season.

Strengthen our faith to walk forward, knowing that You are already ahead of us.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.
